Community Support Worker – PT with the possibility of FT

Job description

Resicare Society of Calgary consists of a team of professionals who are dedicated and committed to providing comprehensively integrated and high-quality support services to disabled individuals.

We are currently seeking an experienced support staff to provide community access support to an individual with a developmental disability that has significant non-physical behaviours of concern. This position consists of 60hrs Monday to Friday. However, there is a possibly of combining this position with a residential support position to make it full time.

Hours of work: 60hrs/ possible additional 12hrs bi-weekly

Pay rate for residential: Negotiable based on experience
Residential hours: 6am-9am Tuesday’s & Friday’s

There are six (6) individuals with varying disabilities in this group home. Responsible for all personal care requirements, transfers and household chores.

Pay rate for Outreach: Negotiable based on experience
Community Access Hours: 9am-3pm Monday – Friday

Community Access responsibilities will include accompanying the individual to community outings, daily activities and medical appointments. This person must be willing to drive and have a valid class 5 driver’s license with 2 million liability.

This position is based out of Northwest Calgary.

  • A diploma or equivalent formal education in Rehabilitation Services, Social Services
  • 2 years experience supporting persons with developmental disabilities.
  • A valid First/Aid CPR and Medication Administration Certification are required.
  • A recent Police Clearance check is REQUIRED upon interview.
